30th annual Ridge Run Submitted by Staff on Tue, 03/20/2007 - 6:30pm.

It's a Memorial Day tradition around here, and the Ridge Run - established in 1978 as a 10K through the Ridge Historic District - now attracts about 4,000 participants.

Expect a few changes, though, as the Beverly Area Planning Association has a new route (the starting line will be at Ridge Park, 96th and Longwood Drive) and an earlier start time. The 10K race will be followed by a 5K run/walk.

And don't forget the kids: The 1-mile Youth Run (ages 7-13) and the Tot Run (ages 3-6) are also part of the Run.
