It may have been the 22nd annual event, but the Saint Xavier University President's Scholarship Ball, held Saturday at the Field Museum, was unlike anything before it.

It's been 160 years since six Irish nuns founded what would become Chicago's oldest Catholic university, and despite a host of changes to the school over the years - including a new name and a new campus - the atmosphere at Saturday's ball was one of both celebration and gratitude.
