After reading a piece in the Southtown Monday about 27-year-old Beverly resident and chainsaw artist Ben Schlitz, we figured we'd offer curious neighbors the chance for a self-guided tour of his local carvings.

"Basically my art is about the making of it, not so much what I make," says Schlitz, who has created about 30 pieces throughout the Midwest, including Cows on Parade, the Garfield Park Conservatory and Art in the Garden.
