Take the chainsaw art tour

After reading a piece in the Southtown Monday about 27-year-old Beverly resident and chainsaw artist Ben Schlitz, we figured we'd offer curious neighbors the chance for a self-guided tour of his local carvings.
Refer to this map for a leisurely stroll, or check out his site, where you'll learn about his awards and exhibitions (in addition to numerous media mentions).
"Basically my art is about the making of it, not so much what I make," says Schlitz, who has created about 30 pieces throughout the Midwest, including Cows on Parade, the Garfield Park Conservatory and Art in the Garden.
