A special kind of Mother's Day

An estimated 8,000 turned out for the eighth annual Beveral Breast Cancer Walk this morning. What has become one of the largest and most endearing local neighborhood events attracted participants of all ages from around the community to Ridge Park for a three-mile walk through the historic Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhoods.
It was an emotional kick off to this year's event as participants released hundreds of pink balloons to Sarah McLachlan's "I Will Remember You", but let the images speak for themselves...
