Dinner and a view

The Ridge Historical Society, 10621 South Seeley Ave., will host its third annual Party on the Hilltop on July 13, 2007. Attendees will be able to watch the Fifth Annual Beverly Hills Cycling Classic from strategic locations on Longwood Drive and Seeley Avenue while they enjoy a dinner buffet. The party runs from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and the buffet will be open from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The bike race begins at 6:00 p.m.
About 125 riders participate in the bike race, which covers 100 K, or approximately 60 miles. The race includes a straight course on Seeley Ave., and the start and finish are at 107th and Longwood Drive. RHS, located in the historic Graver Driscoll mansion, has its main entrance on Seeley Avenue, and a beautiful terrace and lawn that slopes down to Longwood Drive. With these great views of the action, RHS offers one of the best spots to enjoy the excitement.
Tickets for the event are $40 per adult if purchased by July 1st, and $50 after that date. There is no charge for children when accompanied by an adult. ALL of the proceeds from this event directly benefit the RHS, thanks to generous sponsors who will have exhibits on site.
