Submitted by Diane Burke Fessler (not verified) on Mon, 11/23/2009 - 12:09pm.

I am author of NO TIME FOR FEAR,VOICES OF AMERICAN MILITARY NURSES IN WORLD WAR II, published by Michigan State Univ. Press. Includes oral histories of 120 nurses who served overseas in 1940s. The nurses were in the Army, Navy, and included the first Flight Nurses of both services, nurses who were imprisoned in the Philippines, and the African-American nurses who served in the segregated U.S. Army.
