Beverly Arts Center Organizes Teen and Youth Boards Submitted by Staff on Thu, 07/05/2007 - 4:17pm.

As part of its commitment to engage young audiences and fine arts students, the Beverly Arts Center is organizing teen and young adult boards to develop ideas for meaningful youth programming. Members will be asked to meet once a month to discuss teen- and young adult-oriented options for classes, performances and exhibitions. The BAC currently offers classes and programming in visual arts, theater, dance, music, film and movement.

High school and college students, and young adults who are interested in applying for a position on one of these BAC boards are invited to submit a letter about their artistic background, education and interest as well as a letter of recommendation from an instructor (high school, college or artistic discipline). Send teen board letters to Emily Dugan and young adult board letters to Kate Coughlin, c/o Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago, 60655. Letters must be received by August 15.

For more information call 773-445-3838 ext. 216, teen board or ext. 203, young adult. For more information about the Beverly Arts Center visit www.beverlyartcenter.org.
